Other Terms for Repatriation Insurance

October 13, 2011 by John

Repatriation insurance or medical repatriation insurance, is a kind of insurance that provides for the treatment and transportation of the patient/policyholder back to his home country. This kind of insurance would be best for frequent vacationers to foreign countries, to serve as a financial aid in the event that a medical emergency happens to the policyholder.

There are several other terms for repatriation insurance. It is also known as “emergency evacuation insurance” or a “travel insurance repatriation.” Others would term it as “sky rescue repatriation insurance,” while still others may refer to it as “repatriation of remains insurance.”

These other terms do not really have the exact meaning as that of repatriation insurance, as the other terms are more specific. However, the basic meaning of all the terms is the same.

Regardless of how specific the insurance term may be, what remains the same is that repatriation insurance will financially help a patient be transported back to his home country for further treatment and recovery.
