International Students, Cultural Exchange Program Visitors/Scholars, International Travelers often seek repatriation insurance and medical evacuation protection while studying in a foreign country or while traveling. The Sky Rescue repatriation insurance provides coverage for repatriation of remains of the member in event of the death of the insured back to the insured’s home country.
The Sky Rescue repat insurance plan is a medical evacuation and repatriation insurance plan. This plan does not provide coverage for medical expenses resulting from sickness or injuries.
The plan features:
- Medical Evacuation Coverage: $100,000
- Repatriation (return of mortal remains to home country): $20,000
- Deductible of $0 (this means that there is no initial deduction from you prior to the plan making payments for eligible evacuation & repatriation expenses)
- The plan pays 100% of eligible expenses (this means the insurance company pays 100% of the covered expenses and you have no out-of-pocket expenses).
- Plan has to be purchased in 3 month, 6 month or 12 month coverage periods (monthly coverage purchase is not possible). One can re-apply again for subsequent periods of coverage.
- Coverage for pre-existing conditions are excluded. However, up to $25,000 will be paid for the eligible costs and expenses of an emergency medical evacuation arising or resulting from a sudden and unexpected recurrence of a pre-existing condition.
- Other benefits include Accidental Death & Dismemberment benefits (standard plan coverage is up to $100,000 but can be upgraded up to $500,000 for additional premium)
- Personal Liability – Injury to third person: up to $2,000 after a $100 deductible

The plan is underwritten by Sirius International and the claims are administered by International Medical Group in Indianapolis, IN.
One can purchase the plan online and immediately obtain (online) their ID card and ‘Declaration of Coverage’ certificate. Besides, both these documents will be emailed and available for online download through the Client Zone. If there is a University insurance waiver form to be completed please email or fax us the form with your Name, and the insurance purchase Certificate Number.
